With all these sprints write the first things that come to mind. And you don't HAVE to finish.
If you get the impression that something is “not right” mark it and revisit it later. (Sometimes knowing what isn't right is the first step in figuring out what is.)
You can change characters for each sprint if you want or stick with one unless instructed otherwise.
Sprint 1:
Your character' s meeting someone new, but they aren't allowed to talk. What they've been instructed to do is to take a box and stick 13 things in it for the other person to look at/touch/taste/smell/whatever. Your job is to write a fast list of what those 13 things are and if you have time why they chose them.
You have 10 minutes.
Sprint 2:
What does your character's home/living space/base camp look like? (Do they decorate? What's the view out the window?) Alternately, if they're travelers/don't have a home, what is their dream home? Or what do they keep in their rucksack/travel bags/briefcase that make where they stay or camp home? Or what does a typical campsite look like?
You have 10 minutes.
For the next 3 sprints we're going to time travel a bit!
Sprint 3:
Write from your character's POV of their 8th birthday (or an equivalent significant childhood memory).
You have 10 minutes.
Sprint 4:
Write from your character's POV of their 18th birthday (or an equivalent significant turning point in their life).
You have 10 minutes.
Sprint 5:
You're going to need 2 characters for this one!
Character A has to give Character B's eulogy. What do they say about Character B?
You have 10 minutes.
Sprint 6:
What is your character afraid of (big, small, silly, serious)?
You have 5 minutes.
Sprint 7:
What's in your character's fridge? If they don't use one or tend to order out, what's a typical meal?
You have 5 minutes.
