Activities from today's workshop:
Pitch sprints - Write down a pitch for each of your ideas. Keep them under 100 words.
How many main characters will your story have? What can you tell us about them?
What is the setting of your story?
What is the genre and audience of your story?
What is the problem?
How will the problem be solved?
What do you need to prep for your novel this month? (Research, details, outline, etc)
Feel free to share any of your answers here on the board and let us know if you need any feedback!

I'll answer the 2 I did not get to answer on Chatzy.
There are 3 main problems in the plot. 1)to learn where Thara came from, who she is, how to get her home, and who tried to kill her. A subset of that is for my MC to cope with what he learns along the way...as well as his unexpected feelings... 2) for the king/kingdom to cope with the weather conditions and plague that are hitting the kingdom and the unrest it causes. 3) to cope with the fallout of a political traitor and assassin from an unexpected corner.
How they will be solved...well, my MC will get her home, the truth behind her and who tried to kill her will be resolved. The weather will resolve on its own as it usually does, and the plague will pass in time. For the third problem, that sets up part of the premise for book 7, so I'm not sure how much of it will be solved in this book.
What do I need to do to finish prepping: complete my map (I'm gonna work on that some tonight I think) finish fleshing out my new culture/land/kingdom flesh out my newest major characters (and write my school paper so I don't have to do it in November!)
