I'm currently working on getting my chaotic life in a more ordered way so that when NaNo hits I wont be scrambling to find time to write. We'll see how well that goal works out.  Also, trying to decide which project I want to work on. |

I don't even know what I'm doing for November. I have a few ideas, but I'm trying to decide too. I got it narrowed down to about three.

I think that I should nail down the concept that I want to do and do some character development/world building right now so that I will have it all written down and clear in my mind before Nano. Each year, I've gotten a bit better with it.

I'm not going to figure it out until after camp. I have a tie for my NaNo 2014 story on my feedback poll.  So closer to when I do prep, i'm probably gonna poll between the two. Keep an eye out for that on my creative board/journals/facebooks. |

So, I now have a random idea for a nano. At least until I have a new plot bunny pop up. This would basically be a prequel to my 2012 nano and as such theres a bunch of history that can be covered. From the founding of Taiyo all away to the conflict that caused the Spirit Kings disappearance. Which means, for prep, I have to figure out all the conflicts, all the characters, and the basic timeline of events. So, outside of finishing nano 2012, July Camp, I will probably have stacks of memes and plot sheets posted soon to my creative board.

I might have an idea of what to do for Nano this year. We'll see how it pans out and maybe I'll actually start some character development.

Soo... I changed my mind at least three times already, so I'm doing more novel prep than preseason prep since i still don't know what I want to do.

I'm completely unable to decide which novel I want to work on for NaNo, so I'm just plotting for both of them and working on them both? The year before last I did two novels at once, and then last year I did a collection of short stories, and hit word count fairly early both times. So hopefully the method will work for me again.
Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time TO plan, because I'm in the middle of moving to a new apartment at the moment. Move-in day is November 1st. So if plotting wasn't stressful enough I've got two apartments to pack and move in two weeks. Sigh! But I've managed more hectic schedules than this, so I'll be fine. I may need an extra-loud cheering section this year, though.

I feel woefully unprepared for NaNo this year. Usually, I spend most of September working on plotting, and then most of October getting into the habit of at least writing something fiction-y every day. This year? I started plotting on Wednesday of this week. I have about a week to come up with enough plot to meet my absolutely insane goal of 250k... I think this is going to be a more difficult year than most! |
