I saw the announcement about the forum when it first went up, but I'm laaaazy. And now I'm supposed to be editing, so I figured that signing up is the perfect form of procrastination!
Anywho, I'm Kathryn Abbott (Elina Trevisan on Facebook). I haven't been around the sprint room very much lately, since I've been working on things that don't really lend themselves to sprinting. There's also been a lot of stuff going on at home, so even that work was sporadic.
I'm 23 years old, but I still live with my parents for financial/health reasons. I'm currently in the middle of editing the first book of my military fantasy series, and it is driving me insane. I've spent the last few weeks redesigning a major species and researching evolution and doing sketches of that species and arguing with myself about the viability of dorsal spikes and leg spurrs and debating feather arrangement on reptiles and then curling up in a ball and weeping openly in the middle of the cafe attached to the public library. *ahem* I only participate in the November NaNo, since I can only really handle writing one novel per year, and I want to spend more time editing.
My brother is in the chats as Gravaja Umbros, and I'll probably poke him repeatedly until he signs up here because that is what I do to him.

OMG I totally understand about only being able to handle one novel a year. The one that I'm doing, ambitious as I was in developing the idea, is going on one full year of development now, and I'm basically restructuring/rewriting/re-doing the whole damn story now as a prequel to the modern-set part of the series kind of in the way Hobbit was a long time before the time of Lord of The Rings. So yeah. More ambitions for an already over ambitious attempt at a book haha. Looking forward to sprinting with you some time!
