So, during Nano 2012 (aka 21 days of blackout) I started the awesomest novel (to me) in the world... that I'll admit is still not done.
The name of it is Spirit Wielders - prev named Three Sisters - to which I had an awesome plot that derailed on Day One and has been spiraling ever since.
Not that I've lost any of the awesomeness that came with, thanks to the lovely mods who kept me company in the darkness and understood my need to drown in the idiot box once the light finally returned.
Now, two years later, I am looking at an open ending that needs to be closed. Pages and pages of nanoisms, commas where commas should never stand and the hopes to enter a submission due Aug 31, 2014 with an incomplete first draft.
As you can see, I'm at my wits end.
So! For those of you still reading, and wondering what the book that I'm actually supposed to be writing about IS actually about, here we go.
The Story revolves around three sisters (and a future unknown brother) and their separate journeys. All of them are from a race of creatures called Spirit Wielders. They have a sort of spirit based magic that focuses on a specific trait and are contracted to spirits, called spirit charas, who used that trait to feed and strengthen themselves and their masters.
Kali, the eldest, is a wielder of bloodletting. She has a nasty personality (only allowing her younger siblings the barest glimpse of the softer side of her) which has been built upon by a tortured past and the constant need to bleed, and at times kill, those around her. Her journey is the search for her father who disappeared and kill him for abandoning the younger two into her care.
Nerieda, middle child, shares Kali's father, but her mother happens to be a druid with alters her perspective on life. She has the trait of Knowledge and focuses so much on what she believes as fact that she misses what others may say as truth. Her journey is a search back in time to unravel the mysteries of her homeland and the sudden cause of its slow death.
Sera, the youngest sister, is the child of a spirit wielder and a unicorn (which happen to be shifters in this story). She holds the trait of innocence, tends to see with rose coloured glasses and, as per Kali, can be the powerful of them all, as none can bare to withhold their 'sins' while in her presence. As a prepubescent, sheltered child, her journey is simply growing up to find the world isnt as it seems.
Jonah, our last main character is part human. His trait is honor and he holds himself up by it at all times, even when stricken with fever and seconds away from being strung up on a noose. He knows himself to be a prince though also sheltered and barely 7 years of age, still has much to learn of the world. His journey is to find his father so they could avenge his mothers death, to which he journeys along with Kali to do.
I feel as though Ive said just enough but I'm hoping to pull someone to my side to help me understand and finish growing this project, even if we happen to miss the deadline goal.
