Aloha! I am Rubyfruit on Chatzy, because I am Rubyfruit most places on the Internet. I don't have a Facebook because people that I know that I don't want knowing about what I get up to online all have a Facebook.
Uh...I'm 27 for three more weeks. I have far more Works in Progress than finished works, and music helps me write.
I write mostly fanfiction, mainly romance and off-the-wall Alternate Universes (AUs, for short.
). You can find me hanging out on the Nanowrimo forums, or lurking in the Sprints chat under the name of, you guessed it, Rubyfruit. A lot of things happened, including being a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding (which was mostly awesome except for the shoes), and the end of a six-year relationship. It ended amicably but still kind of sucked. Occasionally, it continues to suck.
When I'm not writing, I'm reading. What I read is mostly romance of the hetero and lesbian persuasion (some of which are most definitely not PG-13), or YA novels, mostly those by Sarah Dessen. Or I'm reading fanfics on my Nook Tablet. I've been swayed over to the e-reader side because carrying several hardcover books gets hard on the shoulders, and the appeal of not carrying a binder full of printed-out fanfics around was what swayed me.
